We planted more than 380,000 tulips across 4.5 acres and for the first time ever, you can enjoy pick-your-own tulips throughout the festival.

This year is completely different, so is the weather…

About 1/3 of the field is already blooming earlier than expected. After a hard freeze followed by daily temperatures above 85°F, large sections of tulips are coming into bloom right now. Once tulips bloom, they typically last 10–21 days depending on temperature. With this unusual heat, we’re expecting blooms to peak closer to 10–12 days, which means the clock is officially ticking.

2026 Tulip Festival Expected Bloom Windows:

Early Bloomers: Feb 14-20
Peak Bloom: Feb 21-27
Peak Bloom / Late Bloom: Feb 28-March 1
Late Bloomers: March 7-15+ (subject to record heat conditions)

The tulip season is officially reaching its final stretch with less than 10% of our late bloomers remaining. While the peak fields have passed, there are still stems available for picking and plenty of space to explore.

The good news? Our 15 acres of activities are still in full swing, and our newest arrivals of baby goats, lambs, and cows are ready for bottle feedings.
