Things to do near Bastrop, Texas

Did you know there’s an AWESOME Adventure Farm called Sweet Eats Fruit Farm located 48 minutes directly northwest of Bastrop?

The City of Bastrop is one of the oldest towns in Texas. people first began to settle here in 1804 and it was officially established in 1832 by its founder Stephen Austin. Stephen named the city after his longtime friend and coworker Baron de Bastrop. These two later signed the Texas Declaration of Independence. Bastrop’s earliest known origins were a meeting ground for the Tonkawa and other Southwestern Native Americans. Bastrop makes a lot of effort to preserve the history while embracing the challenges of modern-day growth and economic needs. Downtown Bastrop represents a unique blending of the old and new. The historic district is filled with a variety of restaurants, shops, and other businesses. Currently, Bastrop is home to approximately 10,000 residents! With that many people in an area all looking for something to do, what better than to escape the city and head toward farm animals and fun!!
