Things to do near Hutto, Texas

Did you know there’s an AWESOME Adventure Farm called Sweet Eats Fruit Farm located 16 Minutes Northeast of Hutto?

The town of Hutto was established in 1876 when the International and Great Northern Railroad was built three miles north of Shiloh. Hutto is a small farming community with crossroads of FM 135 and FM 139 on the north side of Brushy Creek. The McCutcheon-Shiloh Cemetery is all that remains of the past. The same year that Williamson County was founded in 1848, the town started to grow adding stores, a school, and a church. While constructing the International and Great Northern Railroad, the railroad company also purchased five acres of land for a designated station stop. This created the town of Hutto, which was named after James Emory Hutto. Currently Hutto is home to an estimated 26,000+ residents! With that many people in an area all looking for something to do, what better way than to escape the crowd and head towards the ultimate adventure farm!

Today was our first visit to Sweet Eats and we had such a wonderful time! it was our youngest 1st birthday and since she doesn’t yet know what is going on I just wanted to spend a fun family day together to celebrate her; and that we did! The activities are endless and a kids dream! All under big shady trees which helped keep us cool on a hot August afternoon. The staff was very friendly and we can’t wait to come back in the fall when it cools off! It didn’t cost much more than a family trip to the movies and created a whole afternoon of active family fun and memories! Highly recommended!
